Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has signed his first endorsement deal since serving time in prison.
Vick signed a two-year deal with Unequal Technologies, which provided the quarterback with the football pads he wore most of last season.
The company’s chief executive said they are excited about the deal and believes that Vick has paid his dues.
Vick said that Unequal Technologies is now a part of his game and that he will not play without it. (Read More…)

The Philadelphia Eagles have fired defensive coordinator Sean McDermott a week after being eliminated from the NFL playoffs.
McDermott was the team’s coordinator for just a couple of seasons, taking over for the late Jim Johnson.
Philadelphia’s defense struggled at times this season, but it’s a surprising move given what little talent the Eagles have on the defensive side of the ball.
The Eagles also lost linebacker Stewart Bradley down the stretch, and he was their leader in the middle. (Read More…)

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb has played the role of good teammate, but that doesn’t mean he wants to sit on the bench.
Kolb recently made it known to the Eagles that he wants to be the starter next year or be traded.
Michael Vick is due to be a free agent, but it’s expected that the Eagles will throw a bunch of money at him to bring him back.
At the same time, the team likes what they have in the younger Kolb and think he is a good security blanket because of Vick’s injury history. (Read More…)

Philadelphia Eagles rookie safety Nate Allen is out for the season after rupturing his patella tendon.
Allen was selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft thanks to a pick given to Philadelphia by Washington in the Donovan McNabb trade.
The safety emerged as a solid starter and key part of the defense, so his presence will be missed.
Allen is the second defensive starter to be lost in as many weeks for Philadelphia. Stewart Bradley dislocated his elbow last week. (Read More…)

The Philadelphia Eagles launched a late rally but it wasn’t enough in a 31-26 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Philadelphia scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter but couldn’t quite catch the Bears.
Quarterback Michael Vick finished with 333 yards passing, two touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 44 yards.
The one interception he did throw was costly, although not his fault, as the pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage. (Read More…)

The inconsistent Philadelphia Eagles were able to hold on for a 27-24 victory over the host San Francisco 49ers.
Quarterback Kevin Kolb began the game by completing all of his passes in the first quarter and looked good throughout the night.
In fact, Kolb was so impressive that some suggested the Eagles might now make him their starter again.
Head coach Andy Reid denied the possibility, saying that Vick is their starting quarterback no matter what. (Read More…)

Just one day after saying Kevin Kolb would be the team’s starting quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has reversed course.
Reid said that the team will instead go with Michael Vick as its new starter, and that it is not a week-to-week plan.
The head coach said Vick was playing too well to sit him and his elusiveness was helpful given their ailing offensive line.
Reid may have initially been concerned that playing Vick would be a signal that they made the wrong move in trading Donovan McNabb in the offseason. (Read More…)

As training camp nears, it’s getting more and more likely now that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will remain with the team.
It seemed like it was just a few weeks ago when it seemed like the axe would drop on Vick at any moment.
However, things have cooled down in the last few weeks and it seems like the shooting incident may now blow over.
The bottom line is that the Eagles need to win football games and they don’t have a viable backup for Kevin Kolb if they cut McNabb. (Read More…)

There is an incredible amount of pressure on the quarterback’s shoulders given what is at stake.
If Kolb fails in Philadelphia, it will mean that the team fails to be a playoff contender and that a number of changes on the way. (Read More…)

A judge has ruled that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick cannot travel out of the state, even for work.
The ruling comes after Vick was near a shooting that involved a man who he was ordered to stay away from.
This makes Vick’s future with the Eagles even more uncertain that it already was following the incident. (Read More…)
